About Me

I have been writing on many topics for about 14 years. On line and off. My desire to write started when I came out of Blue Ridge alcohol rehabilitation facility, in 1984.

Yes, I am an alcoholic who has not had a drink since 1984.  The problems I encountered staying sober and the growth I gained from it formed a strong desire to share what I learned from that experience.

Though I didn’t realize it at the time, I wanted to know why I thought alcohol was the solution. I now know the answer to that question.

I worked in the medical field as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and I was the primary caregiver for my husband as we battled his Alzheimer’s. I was also in business with my husband for over 15 years.

Through my training, work and caregiving I know a bit about medicine. Like many of you, I have had some difficult times. I lost my youngest daughter. She was 36 years old and I lost my husband as well.

These experiences have given me a unique insight into what is really important in this life.

I enjoy writing, and I think I have something to say. Perhaps I should allow you to judge me on that. I love drawing, quantum physics, cozy murder mysteries, dancing, digging in the dirt, and learning a new language spanish.

I know when we go through painful stuff we learn from those experiences and become wise and resilient or we stay the same and forever foolish.

I also publish a newsletter twice a month for you. I write articles and curate illuminating information online. I add these interesting articles to the newsletter for your enlightenment and enjoyment.
