Market Your Business Online and Off-line

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I marketed my direct sales business exclusively online for a year. I was determined to learn internet marketing.

I involved myself with a company that has an education platform that teaches online marketing to anyone photo business 300x193 Market Your Business Online and Off lineon the planet, any product or service 24/7.

I was teachable and eager to learn the New School way of marketing a business online. Does this sound familiar to you?

I engaged with Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, My Space and YouTube. I wrote tens of articles, I wrote and make videos and posted them online.

I listened in on tens of conference calls and webinars to learn the new way. I spent thousands of dollars having high price vendors make poorly designed landing pages and blogs. I wrote press releases and finally taught myself to build my own word press blog very successfully.

As if this was not enough, I learned and engaged in pay per click. For your information I did pause my pay per click campaign a month before Google put the hammer down on home based business. My account is still paused and I can activate when I am ready to advertise with Google again.

I was determined not to engage my warm market PERIOD. End of that conversation. I was a good pupil and followed directions to the letter.

Why did I change my mind and turn around completely?

First I was not happy with the results I was getting with my online efforts. I looked at the successful offline businesses and realized that they indeed had an online presence but not exclusively.

Most successful businesses integrate their marketing and do both.

I realized that I wanted to go back to marketing off the internet without losing what I had accomplished and learned online. I made conscious decision to concentrate on off-line marketing and to integrate those efforts with what I learned about marketing online.

I was looking forward to speaking to people face to face and not being shut in my office interacting with my computer. YUK!

I prefer the team approach rather than being the Lone Ranger and working by myself. Sorry Tonto, no neglect intended. First know thyself and accept it.

As a Baby Boomer I realized I was missing many opportunities in my daily travels about town.

I also learned that only 12% of sales are done online.

This gap is as wide as the Grand Canyon. You been there?

I was missing a lot of opportunities to help enrich the lives of others with what I had to offer. I now spend 75 percent of my time marketing offline and 25 percent of my time marketing online.

This is a fabulous arrangement. With online and offline marketing you cannot get around work. Production is the key. Massive activity and connection with other people works well for both.

If more than 75 percent of sales are done offline where do you choose to pursue your massive activity? I learned a lot about marketing on the internet but this girl is meeting new people daily, engaging in interesting conversations, having fun-being relaxed and growing, yes growing my business.

I now market offline as well as online and it is paying off tremendously. If you have not done so, consider it as one of your possibilities. Decide how you want to spend your time, figure out what strategies you want to use for both and dive in.

Do not miss any opportunities offline to help and engage another person.

Our group watched a bit of the “Conspiracy Against Your Money DVD” It is a mesmerizing and educational DVD.

Find out the real deal about your money and what is happening to it.

Being ignorant about your money is dangerous and scary in this environment!

After that we had the honor of watching a PowerPoint presentation by M-3 master consultant and marketer Sim Green who did a spectacular job explaining our dynamic product line and how it helps folks get out of debt, make money, preserve their money and finally how to make their money grow.   A huge applause to Sim Green who really delivered an outstanding presentation.

Why Did You Join Your Deal?

photo 18451 20100706 150x150 Why Did You Join Your Deal?

Picture this scenario…

Your leader in your deal is a friend, you have a great relationship and you work closely together building your business. Your business is growing, you are having fun and all is well…or is it?

Your friend/leader announced regretfully at the end of a recent phone conversation that they are leaving your company for greener pastures. This deal is no longer fulfilling their needs.

You are speechless, literally.

You feel betrayed, abandoned, let down. Soon anger sets in. You are dependent on your friend/leader to help build your nest egg. Why are they leaving you? Do you feel like a jilted lover? What will you do now?

How will you build this thing…alone?

Well…my friend, this is a very good question that we in business relationships must answer.

Let us go back to the beginning of this business relationship.

Give an honest answer to this question.

Why did you join your business opportunity?

Is it because you connected with person who introduced it to you and felt you would have support?   Was the business opportunity a good fit for your beliefs and your integrity?   Did you love the compensation plan or was it your love of the product/service? Did you feel that you could build a great organization despite any challenges?

If you are like the average person beginning a new enterprise you were excited and hopeful. Is this the one that will take me where I want to go and will I have the help/support I need to get there?

Every one of us wants to be accepted, supported and sometimes carried. However, as individuals we all come to the business with different dreams, talents and drive. It is true that we buy and associate with people we like.

This does not mean we are joined at the hip.

The bottom line here is this: If we are in an unsatisfactory business environment that no longer fulfills our needs and goals we owe it to ourselves to look elsewhere.

When you join a company it is very important that you come into it knowing that you will have challenges, disruptions and disappointments.

This is called life.

If your friend call and ask you to join their deal, or if you are seeking an opportunity to pursue, make certain your decision to join is based on sound business principles.

photo 19862 20100823 e1285691485547 99x150 Why Did You Join Your Deal?

After you start your business get involved and learn as much as possible as fast as possible to maintain your independence.

If your sponsor does not keep their promise (real or assumed) to help you grow, remember why you joined the deal. Not for friendship or relationship but for business.

Move to the next level; find the help you need to move on. This is why it is so important to join the right opportunity for you for the right sound reasons.

If your sponsor/friend will not return your phone calls, drop off, drop out and move on, you can move forward as well.

The End Result To My 10 day Master Cleanse!

Click here for Master Cleanse Day 4

I do the Master Cleanse for my health.

If you have a need to loose weight this is a great way to jump start a weight loss/management program and get you health back on track.

What is the Master Cleanse? The Master Cleanse is a way to cleanse the body of and remove the cravings associated with drugs, coffee, teas, and cigarettes. Some get off prescription drugs as well.  The cleanse involves drinking only a concoction made from fresh lemons, grade B maple syrup and cayenne pepper, as well as a laxative tea. No solid food is eaten for the entire cleanse. According to proponents it is recommended to be on the cleanse for a minimum of ten days, but some people stay on the cleanse for longer periods of time.

Did I get hungry?  Yes, and when I did I sipped my lemonade tea. It takes the hunger away. I took it with me most places in a thermos if I was away from home for any any length of time.

-         Did I cook while on the cleanse?  Yes I did prepare meals for my husband but they were light and not involved recipes.

-         Did I exercise during the cleanse?  No, I choose not to however, I was as busy as before.  I lived my life as before.  No solid food.  Nothing.

-         Did I think about food?  Yes, but I kept the reason for the cleanse in the front of my conscious.  It passes like everything else.

-         Did I go back to caffeine?  Yes, why?  I am human.

Low Vitamin D Level And Your Risk For Getting Cancer

I am not a medical doctor but, I am in the health care field and I am very observant of what is going on around me.

I noticed that doctors are ordering vitamin D levels on their cancer patients and this piqued my interest. I wanted to know why?

When two friends developed cancer and both had extremely low vitamin D levels. I wanted more information about the correlation between vitamin D and cancer. I understand that vitamin D is important to take with calcium for bone health but I was concerned about the connection with cancer.

This article is not a scientific paper to persuade you to add vitamin D to your diet. I am writing it with the hope that you will give it some thought and do some research of your own. After you have done this you can make an informed decision about adding vitamin D to your health regimes.

How do we get adequate supply of vitamin D? We get it from the sun, diet and from supplements. Being exposed to the sun for 30 minutes a day seems to be sufficient.

The lighter the skin the more vitamin D is absorbed. For darker skin the sun exposure need could be double that of light skin individuals.

How much to take and what should my levels be for protection against disease? Research is all over the place with this one. This is where it gets tricky. The National Institute of Health a government agency, has a Dietary Supplement fact sheet for Vitamin D, click the link to go there.

http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitamind.asp

At this site you will find the recommended concentrations of serum vitamin D for your health and what adequate intakes should be.

I will add this. My physician wants my serum levels to be 2-3 times the recommended levels and my daily intake to be 3-4 times the recommended levels by the government agency.

Taking vitamin D has many health benefits to numerous to cover in this article. It is often a neglected vitamin. You could have very serious health consequences if your levels are low.

Do some research, ask your physician to check your vitamin D level. At this time you and your doctor can determine the best action to take for your health.

My blog is about a person’s total success. If you are not healthy and don’t feel good how successful can you be?

Live Your Life By Design With A Vision Board

eyeball 300x199 Live Your Life By Design With A Vision Board

OK already,  so you have heard this before,  well here it is again.  Do you have a vision board and if not why not?

They are so easy to make, they are fun and when you make them you are deliberately forecasting your future.  How cool is this?

Maybe the question should be, how scary it is  if you do make a vision board.

What is a vision board: It is a snapshot of your personal desires, goals and dreams in drawings, pictures and writings.  When you create a vision board you are having fun and thinking about what you want to come into your life.  You are activating the universal law of attraction to bring these desires into your reality.

A few years ago I decided for the first time to make a vision board.  I had no idea if it would work but I remained opened to the idea that it would. I cut pictures from magazines.  I paste money from foreign countries that I received during my travels.  I put a big cruise ship and lots of interesting, thoughtful and fun things on my board.   I added more items as time passed.   I placed the board in a location that I could view often.  I stared at my vision board everyday for 6 months or more.

I moved my household to a different location and state thus packing the board away.  I unpacked it recently and was overcome with emotions when I realized that everything on that board had come into my life.  I was so full with gratitude as I touched the items on that vision board.

So, needless to say, I started another vision board.

How to start yours:

  1. Your subconscious works in pictures and images.  Collect pictures of things you desire to come into your life.  Cars, money, checks, homes, computers, jewelry, large groups for your business. You can add a resignation to your boss or even quotations that move you.   Let your dreams soar.
  2. Get colored pencils for drawings and writing.
  3. Buy a sturdy board from office store along with glue and tape
  4. Draw, write and paste pictures on your board.
  5. Use dates you want things to occur.  Go for it.
  6. Engage your senses and emotions when adding to your board.

TIP: Do not place anything negative on your vision board, ever!

You vision board is only limited by the extent of your creativity.  It should evoke a positive response from you and make you feel happy when you look at it.

Your vision board should be intentionally placed in a location that gives you maximum exposure to it. Constantly wash your subconscious mind with the energy from your board  to manifest your desires quickly.

If you fear criticism or the need to justify your vision board to others, place it in a private location for your eyes only.  Your little secret.  How delightful.

Start collecting pictures for your board today and begin to live your life by your design.

Master Cleanse Day 4

What is the Master Cleanse: The Master Cleanse, also known as the Lemon Cleanse and the Maple Syrup Diet, is a body and mind detoxification program created by alternative medicine performer Stanley Burroughs in 1941.

The Master Cleanse is a way to cleanse the body of and remove the cravings associated with drugs, coffee, teas, and cigarettes.

Four days ago I started the Master Cleanse for my 5th time. I do the cleanse to maintain my good health and well-being. I have encountered a few challenges this time.

I usually do the cleanse 2 times a year and it has been a year since I did the cleanse last.

My first challenge was a huge, gorilla type headache the first two days. This is a result of caffeine with-drawl. I love my coffee and tea. The evening of day two I gave in and took 2 Tylenols and slept for 10 hours. I awaken without a headache. Wonderful!

Next my lower back begins to hurt and I wonder, “what is this!” The pain was manageable so I disregarded it. It passed. For a full day my hips were hurting, I thought this is strange. It passed as well. I call these problems healing crisis, my body detoxifying and healing itself.  I love my miraculous body.

I decided to use unsulphured blackstrap molasses instead of grade B maple syrup. All I can say is YUK! I ran to the health food store for grade B maple syrup.

At the end of day 4 I am feeling good

I was really hungry once today because I went out without my lemonade mixture. Never again. When I get hungry I sip my lemonade mixture. It works for me. I also remember why I am doing it.

I have lost 8 pounds mostly water I think. All is well with six days to go without food. Yes, and I am cooking for my husband. More on day 10.

Until next time

Do You Want Results, Try This Sure Fire Plan

happy 300x300 Do You Want Results, Try This Sure Fire PlanWill you get the desired results you want from your project or goal or will it fizzle out and die in an exhausted heap?

I recently started making cold calls again.  Naturally, I was excited and I started out like a tornado like most of us do when starting a new project.    I made 77 plus dials my first day and vowed to make 100 dials the next day and 150 the day after that.

I was to be this super dialer and super cold caller.   Well need I say more?  Like a tornado I started out fierce and powerful and full of energy…but I soon fizzled out in my first few days.

How do you start a new project?  It doesn’t matter what it is.  It could be going back to college after being out of school for 25 years.  Do you take a full load or do you take one or two classes to begin?   Maybe you desire to loose 50 pounds, get in shape, get your health back or any goal you may have.  The way you begin your project will determine how your project will end.

I remember when I was learning to play the piano as an adult.  At that time I was very busy.  I owned a brick and mortar business with over 50 employees and my time was limited.  I would practice for an hour before my lesson.  My performance was dismal.

My teacher informed me that it is more productive to practice 15 minutes a day rather than an hour  before my piano lesson.  She was correct.  I tried it and it worked.  If you have something you want to learn and a task to do try doing it in 15 minute increments.  We all can find an extra 15 minutes in a day.

There is only one way to be successful with your projects and goals and it is to begin in a slow and strategic manner.  Let’s use the example most of us understand, losing weight.   Why not change your eating habits slowly rather than a flash in the pan quick diet?

If you drink three soft drinks daily, cut down to 2 a day for the first few days then down to 1 a day after that.  After you are successful  consider walking for 15 minutes increments for a week then increase to 20 minutes the next week and on to 30 minutes after one month.  You get the point?

This gradual build up increase the odds of your successful long term weight loss goal being permanent. To begin by walking an hour when you perhaps have not walked 5 minutes in the past 10 years is unrealistic but this is exactly what some folks do.  As I think about it, everything I have had success at, I did in steady increments that increased over time.

Don’t be a flash in the pan.  Think long term.

TIP:

Set your goal, set your plan, slowly but surely get started and build momentum.  It works.

It is the steady consistent action that takes you where you want to go.  When roadblocks come up and they will, it is called life, make adjustments and keep going.

Confucius says, “ When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust goals, adjust the action steps.”

Back to my cold calling.  Now that I have set realistic goals, I am beginning to enjoy it as I once did.  This time around I started out slowly and I am gradually building up to my desired outcome.

Go easy on yourself and give yourself some love. Try this tactic with your next project.

Timing Is Everything!

clessidra 225x300 Timing Is Everything!

Timing is one of the keys to success.  A few short years ago if you wanted to be an investor in real estate you would not buy houses to hold.  The values were going up and up and you knew as an investor this was not sustainable.  You would buy and flip.

Today if you want to be a real estate investor you would buy foreclosures and hold. .  Most people know timing as it relates to trading stocks and bonds.  Buy low sell high.

When you make a decision to make changes in your life always do a check for the right timing.  This could make the difference between failure and success.

Yes, you have the ability to choose the best moment to get involved in an opportunity?  There are clues.  Is the opportunity old and stale?  Have you had any significant changes in your life?  If so, how can this alter your decision.

A couple of years ago I made a decision to get involved in a great opportunity.  I had suffered a major loss in my life less than a year earlier.  I thought I was doing fine.  I wasn’t.  I felt that getting involved with this opportunity would help me  feel better.  It didn’t.   I needed more time and I gave it to myself. The timing was not right for me to make a life changing decision at that time.

Are the masses diving in without training or expertise? Is it widely talked about?  If the masses are pursuing an opportunity it is over.  Go in another direction.

Do not follow the masses!

If you want to start a business today look for a business that is new and fresh, look for a niche or sub niche.  A product or service that people need but cannot find easily.  Decide on an internet, home-based  or a brick and mortar option.  What option is the timing right for?

TIP:  Only 12% of sales occur online.  There is a huge opportunity offline as well.

With the keying of several strokes on a keyboard a person can purchase a variety of products in minutes without leaving their home.  Is this form of marketing and buying the wave of the future?  Almost every home has a computer; some homes have more than one.  Is this a fad?

If you want to market a product on the internet do you have the comprehensive training for the proper execution of the product or service you want to market.  This is all a part of the timing.  Is the time now to learn Internet marketing?

You do realize there is a strategy for learning all things new.  Learn how to market your chosen niche and take advantage of this new revenue producing activity.

R.I Fritz Henry says, “ Timing, degree and conviction are the three wise men of life.

Before you make a life changing decision think hard and long about the timing.  Is it the right time for this?
